Venue Review: Antik - Bar (NYC - New York City)

Yesterday we let you know about Bowery Electric, one of a number of new spots that have opened on the Bowery recently. Today we shed some light on Antik, the space formerly known as Marion's Marquee. NY Mag sums it up nicely:

Antik, the semi-private lounge in the old Marion’s Marquee space, is a serviceable after-spot for those who want to keep drinking in a retro setting during the nights when the Bowery Hotel’s lobby bar closes at 2 a.m. (Of course it’s not as elaborate or elegant, which might be why the lighting is so dim).

We hear that the drinks, while commendable are nothing fantastic. Also, about those drinks...there is no bar  in Antik; instead you must order from a waitress who will then deliver your drinks from hidden-away prep station. The space is also on the small side, so while bottle service isn't a must, a reservation is recommended.
