Venue Review: Prime - Nightclub (NYC - New York City)

First there was Quo. Quo split in two, in to Myst and Retox Rock Bar. And now they are one again. And now they are Prime. Prime, along with Suzie Wong and Mansion, is hoping to revive the West Chelsea nightclub district. What's the draw? Top name DJ talent. Back in February, DJ AM & Jazzy Jeff played opening weekend. Steve Aoki followed. And then DJ Reach.

Expect more big names to follow as spring arrives and the temperature in the City heats up.

TERRRIBLE! DO NOT GO! the bartender was extremely rude, but the waitress for the table service was completely horrible!!! besides being charges a rediculous amount of money, we ordered 2 bottles for like 6 poeple, as soon as we finished drinking them we went to dance floor and when we came back to our table they had givin our table away to another group and had thrown all our coats and bag on the ground and would not even let us sit back down.! that is not how table service works! and when i aks the waitress whats going on she didnt even respond to be and just shrugged me off while taking money from the new poeple that sat at our table..

NEVER GO HERE. NEVER. At first, it seemed fun because the music was OK. But, the bartenders are incredibly rude, and at the end of the night they charged me $100 extra on my tab. The entire tab was completely falsified and nothing like what I actually ordered. I was polite and civil in explaining that there must have been some mistake and my bartender seemed to believe me but the manager basically ignored my reasonable and logical explanation and charged me nonetheless. They make you give them your ID, so when he said, "maybe your friends ordered the drinks," I curiously asked what the purpose of the photo ID was that sat with my credit card. He ignored this point. He obliged to take off the non-alcoholic beverages, although pointing out that one of the bartenders remembered me ordering them (untrue), and implying that it was SO generous of him. However the amount of the bill was the same! AND, they wouldn't give me my card and ID back until I signed the bill so I was forced to pay the extra amount. They tried to imply that it was my fault because I ordered from two different bartenders (which is a ridiculous rule regardless) yet this doesn't address the possibility that any of the bartenders could have charged the wrong account (or, what seems more likely, charged drinks for themselves or staff on my account). Bad business.

Boring space. Bad music. I was excited to go but found the place looking exactly like Myst. My friends thought the bartenders were rude (I thought they were okay). Security outside is a joke and the music was so loud I had a headache by the time we made it to the front of the line.

Awesome music but this place sucked!!!!!!! We paid close to 2,000 dollars for bottle service and the table they gave us was shit!!! right in the middle of everything so everyone was just walking through like we weren't there....the staff there are rude and don't help out with n e thing.... prob. one of the owrst places i have ever went to in the city..... and it's also mad tiny!!!!
