This intimate Lower East Side Lounge has a warm, rustic feel with exposed brick walls, wooden accents, and a heavy wooden front door.  Their wine list focuses on Spanish varieties, and Tapeo 29 mixes things up with fresh, tasty cocktails and a hearty tapas menu of appetizers.  The staff is particularly friendly and helpful.

to mr. Nick, Tapeo 29 is not a "crumby" dive bar it's actually a lovely quite sophisticated spot.
Have you ever approached anyone from managment there regarding the noise levels? you knoe there are city regulation for that, and also you can check out more quiet neighbourhoods like Hells Kitchen, UWS, UES, Murray hill etc.

do you hang out at "qualiy" bar that plays no music and keeps conversations to a hush? if so let me know where that is.

whoa, calm down, you chose to live there no? You moved there or you were born there? It is New York, if you want quiet, move. If you want accessability, stay here in this amazing city.

Please BOYCOTT Tapeo29. As an 18 year resident they are by far the rudest and WORST neighbors. constant loud noise and music wed, thurs, fri, sat, sunday. They think it's totally fine to just open their wall and let all their noise spill out onto the street for all the tax paying residents to have to listen to. Totally ridiculous. Save the LES and stop patronizing crummy bars like this that make the standard of living ridiculous in the city. A responsible bar might close their many wall sized doors and understand that their noise is annoying all that live around them. For any of you yuppie hipsters who don't give a shit and want to flame me... think for a second what it might be like to have the noise of a bar like Tapeo 29 with all its guests crammed into your living room 5 nights out of 7 and you might get an idea of what my life is like.
