About a stone’s throw from Dupont Circle, the Tabard Inn has a great rustic charm with crisp clean lines, Shaker-style furniture, and romantic dim lighting.  The lounge is a cozy space that hosts weekly jazz performances.  The bar is extremely well stocked, and the kitchen creates elegant creative fare from breakfast to a late dinner. The lightly fried semolina crusted oysters and the arugula pasta are particularly noteworthy.
